Comfort Women Wanted

Artist Chang-Jin Lee presents her artwork, Comfort Women Wanted, on the forgotten history of WWII-era Japanese military sex slaves, or  “comfort women” as they were euphemistically known. The exhibition features wooden furniture made in the Choson Dynasty (1392-1910) and includes furniture of a variety of functions and designs. Even though Korea is a relatively small country, each province has a distinctively different furniture design and decoration style.
